QAD is seeking an Associate Software Engineer QA who will perform professional Quality Assurance functions such as create, execute and maintain new and existing automated scripts as well as manual data manipulation for a company wide used database. The candidate will work in a team to undertake a variety of tasks central to the overall quality and company wide data strategy within QAD
What You’ll Do:
The successful candidate will be working on automation and maintenance of QAD’s company wide database.
Design and Develop scripts to support Database Automation Strategy
Suggest opportunities for test automation
Develop test automation scripts using company used tools JMeter and Selenium.
Execute and monitor monthly data maintenance of the company wide database.
Identify, report and track data inconsistencies through to closure
Liaise with QA team and Project Managers.
Plan, implement and execute detailed scripts for new functionality data updates for software release.
Identify and clearly communicate potential project issues.
Any other tasks as requested from the project manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or quality assurance.
1-3 years experience in a software quality role
Experience of software testing/test automation including use of a test automation tool such as Selenium or Jmeter and software development lifecycle.
Knowledge of Python or similar scripting language, preferably with experience in a test automation context.
ERP system knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
APICS certification an advantage but not essential
API testing experience, an advantage but not essential
Experience working with a test management tool, an advantage but not essential.
Knowledge of TestComplete, an advantage but not essential.
Technical skills - ability to execute automation scripts in Visual basic, testcomplete and JMeter
Self starter - managing workload in an agile environment
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Good problem solving skills - analyze and correct data inconsistencies
Good Communication skills - Need to communicate closely with project team QA’s and Project Manager to ensure a clear understanding of requirements
