Design automated tests to validate applications by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. Begin to participate in determining setting the priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios
Develop reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of test modules
Work in an Agile environment and adhere to all QA best practices.
Work in partnership with Scrum team members, including engineering and product management, to deliver business functionality on-time, with required quality, automation tests, and that meets the acceptance criteria
Analyze bug reports and highlight problems to help identify fixes. Send reports identifying these bugs to other members of the team
Support QA governance of test processes, data, and execution metrics to help drive improve the performance of team.
Communicate technical challenges and roadblocks for automating test cases
Ensure project deadlines are met and promptly communicate to Team Lead of potential delays and associated reasons
Perform risk analysis for features/projects in your ownership, provide mitigation and escalate appropriately.
Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to analyze, debug and resolve any issues.
Keep training materials and documentation up-to-date
Create Test plans and Test strategy and run defect reports.
Attends internal departmental trainings
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Looking for 3-6 years of hands on experience in testing web, db and API testing.
Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing in an Agile/Scrum framework.
Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with ability to work with technology stakeholders at various levels, and including global teams.
Experience in test automation using frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber etc
Understanding of SQL and databases (ORACLE, Postgres), should be comfortable in writing SQL queries
Programming concepts with OOPS and coding skills in any language (Python/Java).
Experience in testing Xml files, Feeds testing
Knowledge of Unix/Linux
Knowledge of working with SOAP and REST services and understanding of SOA architecture will be added advantage.
Knowledge of testing in continuous integration/DevOps models.
Understanding of Cloud technologies like AWS/Azure and micro-services, containers integration testing will be added advantage.
Experience in performance testing tools like HP LoadRunner/Performance Center/StormRunner, JMeter and Load Testing tools (Load Runner)
