The successful applicant for this role will have 5+ years of experience in automation software development and network functional testing in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field. Cloud deployment and northbound API integrations with customer operations desired.
Desirable technical knowledge and experience in cloud computing, network function virtualization, L2/L3 Networking, and residential broadband (PON).
Rest API, JSON, and scripting skills including: Ansible, Python.
Familiarization with hypervisor technologies and software for building and managing virtualized services: OpenStack, VMWare, KVM, Linux, and public clouds (e.g. AWS).
Network testing methodologies and test case creation experience. Network test set usage and automation: Ixia or Spirent.
Understanding of ethernet and IP networks: network design, routing protocols, L2/L3, MEF, and network security.
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD process flow for automation development.
Version control skills in GitHub, bitbucket or Gitlab, including experience with merge requests and branch management.
Excellent written, verbal, and data presentation communications skills.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technologies, or equivalent experience.
Self-motivated and able to work independently without much management oversite.
The ability to travel occasionally to support projects or customer engagements.
