At least 4 years experience in Testing /automation or related software-based
Design, implement and maintain the automated test cases, scripts, and libraries
Identify the modularity within a test case which can be separated as a reusable logic
Assist other team members in using automated test cases for their testing, as applicable
Strive to left-shift the availability of the automated test suite in SDLC
Contribute to the CICD integration of automated test scripts to support Canary deployments
Document the reusable components within automation frameworks
Identify, design and execute test cases for different test phases, preferably using automation and manually if automation is not feasible
Translating customer needs and requirements, into realisable and commercially viable products, services, or systems and/or networks infrastructure.
Designing, testing, integrating and optimising maintenance of specific complex network technologies, platforms and/or systems.
Contributing to ensuring that network components and systems interact with Telstra processes and systems to deliver market leading customer experiences. You do this by using your expertise and experience of specific domain components to address related incidents, problems and upgrades to optimise network performance.
Contributing to assessing capability of vendor solutions and offerings to meet business requirements and assist in managing vendor performance and technology delivery.
Developing depth / advanced levels of knowledge over a current domain by engaging in continuous learning through formal development, coaching and seeking feedback.
Contributing to the development of technology guidelines and standards to be used by Chapter and/or business unit members in the design and deployment of network technologies.
Using your sound interpersonal and influencing skills to authentically collaborate with mission or project team members and stakeholders to deliver defined work objectives.
To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:
Essential
Expertise in test case writing and execution for functional testing, regression testing, sanity testing and production verification testing
Expertise in both API and GUI based automation, REST APIs knowledge
Experience in converting manual test cases to automated scripts
Experience in Python
Experience in Robot Framework or any other framework
Good troubleshooting skills to conduct root-cause analysis of the defects and to deep dive into live issues
Hands-on experience with Agile Tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
Hands-on experience with Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
Hands-on experience of testing and troubleshooting for projects hosted in Cloud
Desirable
Telecom background
Experience with different programming languages is preferred –Json, Shell Scripting, CLI
Familiarity with Test Driven Development
Hands-on experience with Agile Tools (Bamboo)
Basic domain knowledge in 3G/4G/5G
Basic working knowledge for linux/windows environment including remote accessing hosts performing basic administration tasks eg: check logs, resource usage etc
