Job Description

The focus of the role:

The primary focus of the role is for experienced Software Tester with Manual Testing, Automation testing experience. Responsible to develop and execute test plans, test cases, data, scenarios, and other testing necessary.

About you
Essential
8+ Years of experience & well versed with Agile methodologies
6+ Years of Telecom knowledge with Stakeholder Management experience.
Good debugging & troubleshooting skill set.
Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment.

Role
Prepare Sprint test plan for testing and work closely with the & SIT domain lead & Testers assigned for respective missions
Publish the sprint test plan (TCs) to RTE/GSM, FT, respective missions involved in enablement.
Review JIRA to understand the upcoming epic/DIG enablement in prod (as per PI plan alignment) and prepare the list of epics/DIGs to be tested in upcoming Sprint
Call out any risks/ potential delays in enablement based on the planning outcome and publish internally to the domain.
Track the test progress with Domain Testers, Mission testers, Feature team CT testers and ensure the progress is tracking to plan
Provide sign off for every application/DM package for sprint deployment
Ensure epics are updated to right JIRA status once signoff is provided
Production verification testing needs to be coordinated and successfully lead every sprint (this may require working late evening/late, once, or twice in two weeks)

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are the following but not limited to:
Collaborate with your team to build, test, and maintain testing scripts and their supporting infrastructure
Analyse requirements and follow testing standards and guidelines to define dynamic test plans (specifying scope, assumptions, tools
and acceptance criteria) and test cases/scenarios (in line with standard Telstra technology delivery process),
with support from more experienced team members as required
Contribute to the achievement of testing outcomes/indicators (e.g. quality, stability, availability, reliability), by supporting the establishment of test data, test environments and test plan reviews, supporting the delivery of test meetings, and ensuring all testing initiatives assigned to you are completed according to plan
Contribute to the evaluation of test outcomes, leveraging your analytical thinking, domain knowledge and input from more experienced team members to identify opportunities to resolve specific defects and/or improve testing and verification processes
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the software testing domain, by supporting the incremental delivery of testing solutions for rapid feedback and refinement from your Product Owner
Collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders (not limited to Agile Teams, Product Owners, Engineering Chapters and COEs), to deliver on testing outcomes • Embrace your team’s ways of working and a continuous learning mindset, and adhere to best practice IT Testing frameworks, ensuring you deliver continuous integration, quality assurance, monitoring, and testing to a high standard

Highly Desirable
Knowledgeable in OSS/Telecom Domain.
Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, or Engineering.
Experience with code analysis and test automation tools, security testing tools
Experience with design patterns, architecture, secure coding
Need to have a programmer mindset. Good knowledge of framework development & Reporting
Experience in automation (Selenium, Rest Assured, maven, git, Jenkins/bamboo, Cucumber, TestNG, Karate.), web & webservices automation.
Good debugging & troubleshooting skill set.
Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment.
Good to have exposure to AWS cloud services.
Good to have exposure to containerization using docker.
