Responsibilities:
Design and execute automation test scripts to test the data integrity from source to destination data warehouse
Automate the verification process of complex data transformation rules
Build automation scripts to verify complete data sets and not just sample subsets
Design automation test processes for each corresponding ETL data load in the Data Warehouse
Work closely with the data mapper, data engineer and data warehouse team to understand each stage of transformation and testing needs
Identify automation candidates in testing UI based applications, Tableau dashboards and data flow as well as database, and write scripts to automate them
Responsible for test automation and also for any kind of data related or BI related automation that helps in both project and process efficiency.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test scripts and test cases
Effectively communicate testing findings and results to team members and non-technical partners through a variety of mediums
Perform data modeling, mining, pattern analysis, anomaly detection and data visualization to address business needs with tools/technologies such as Advanced Excel, Salesforce, Salespage, SQL Server, Tableau and Alteryx
Perform data analysis, data cleaning and data stewardship as and when required by role
Qualifications
3+ years experience in software/reporting quality assurance and automation
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JavaScript, Python, Rest APIs and micro services.
Experience with data flow automation and transformation tools such as Alteryx
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, test scripts and test cases
Experience working in an Agile development process
Bachelor's degree in a computer science/software related discipline
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Ability to take ownership and initiative, to influence and build consensus and successfully navigate within a data driven environment of a leading global financial institution
Previous experience with ETFs/equities/mutual funds desirable, but not essential
