Roles and Responsibilities:
The ETL/Automation QA resource will be required to assess quality of BI/Data analytics solution through manual and automated testing. They will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, they should have a keen eye for details and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibility:
As a Data Test Engineer / ETL Tester, you will be responsible for validating data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic and uploading data in target tables. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting the data storage system before it goes live. You must have strong technical capabilities and good knowledge of the coding languages commonly used in ETL development, such as SQL, and Python.
Desired Candidate Profile
10+ Years of Software Quality Assurance experience on enterprise-level applications which includes Data Warehouse, Big Data, and Reporting Tool Testing.
The Quality Engineer supports quality assurance programs and processes in alignment with QA strategy and deliverables in an Agile Scrum environment with minimal guidance.
Experience in writing complex SQL queries, handling Table Views, and Store procedure, ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e., data validation, regression, etc.).
Extensive exposure to Back-end/ETL Testing with high-level of SQL skills is required.
Demonstrated experience with QA tools like JIRA, Zephyr etc.
Working knowledge of relational data structures/models / relationships.
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Experience in automation of backend data validation
Basic understanding of Cloud Services Microsoft Azure.
Good to have QA Automation Test tools expertise in Selenium, Test Ng, Cucumber, etc.,
Monitors products for conformance to standards; monitors processes for conformance to procedures.
Documents findings and performs preliminary root causes analyses to provide recommended improvements
Gathers maintains, and creates reports on quality metrics.
Supports initiatives related to the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Testing specialists who work with technology project managers, UAT professionals, and users to design and implement appropriate script plans for an application testing strategy approach.
Conducts a variety of moderately complex process monitoring, product evaluation and audit assignments; reports issues and makes recommendations for solutions.
Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; makes recommendations for enhanced documentation.
Provides informal guidance to new team members
Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.
Makes evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
