Introduction:
The purpose of this role is to support testing of Ab Initio ETL and mongo DB deliveries on real time platforms.
• You will have sound knowledge and experience on various Ab Initio products like GDE, Continuous Flow etc.
• You will work with various federated teams for understanding the data needs and testing plan and execution.
• You will help troubleshooting various problems/errors encountered by federated team while developing/testing Ab Initio based ETL applications.
• You will have high-level knowledge about other technologies like MongoDB, Teradata, Oracle, Mainframe etc.
• Write test scenarios, prepare test case documents, test data creation and test case execution with satisfactory quality measures.
• Inputs to the functional document creation if required [10%]
• Interact with SME to gather more business information
• Study various strategy documents available within the organization
• Inputs to the other teams like Run/Production Support Teams etc

• Create test cases/ scripts/ charters/ data sheets/ sample data
• Escalate issues to Test Manager or PM as appropriate
• Provide guidance to other team members on technology/domain/application queries
• Demonstrate an improvement in business and/or system knowledge in your relevant program line
• 3+ years of experience in software testing and technologies – ETL, Non SQL db, and Unix
• Strong knowledge and hands on experience in Data concepts, ETL (Ab-Initio), Data Warehousing, mongo DB and familiar to Mainframes
• Good Understanding and experience in automation frameworks, tools and techniques

• The test analyst is expected to document all testing details in a testing tool and follow agreed guidelines.
• New functionality is to be documented and shared with the larger testing team so that all are aware of any new changes to system behaviour and functionality
• Send out daily/weekly progress reports. Ensure that test case execution and defect statuses are reported in a clear and concise form in daily/weekly progress reports
• Choose and effectively use the most appropriate form of communication (face to face, AV, phone, MS teams and email) with all stakeholders

• Provide guidance to other team members on technology/domain/application queries
• Demonstrate implementation of process, strategy and/or testing improvement/efficiencies
• Demonstrate an improvement in business and/or system knowledge in your relevant program line

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Bachelor of Engg in Computer / IT or equivalent
• Should have strong hands-on experience on Ab Initio ETL testing.
• Should be able to troubleshoot any Ab Initio related problem/error
• Should have good knowledge about other Ab Initio products like Continuous Flow, Metadata Hub etc
• Should understand SQL and NOSQL databases like Teradata, Oracle, MongoDB and DB2.
• Provide expertise and continuity across both the business solution and technical solution involving Ab Initio Builds effective relationships with all stakeholders including federated project teams, BU SPOC, GIS etc
