Job Description

As part of the central IS Delivery team, candidate will be involved in software testing for Siebel applications and involved interfaces. The Production Core Model program (PCM) is a set of applications deployed worldwide within Bureau Veritas, using Siebel as the Backbone. The objective of the Production Core Model is to standardize the IT landscape within an integrated information system covering the entire BV production process.

Candidate should be able to acquire required knowledge of BV Siebel applications. He/ She should be able to work independently/ in team and demonstrate ability to work on all aspects of application Testing. He/ She should have a strong knowledge on STLC, Defect life cycle with focus on preparation of testing artefacts. Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as functional tester.

ROLE SPECIFICATION
Acquire required knowledge about Bureau Veritas Siebel applications through
Dedicated KT session
Documentation review
Perform the non-regression testing tasks according to scope assigned for Siebel Applications.
Document the identified defects with the level of details required for proper investigation
Perform Testing of our Siebel Applications in areas of
Navigation (picklists, applets, view, etc…)
Processes (workflow, data management, etc…)
LOVs and other administration items

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
Strong experience in preparation of test artefacts like test cases, RTM.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC and defect life cycle.
Converting functional requirements into understandable test cases.
Experience with test management tool.
Experience with defect test management tool; desired – Mantis bug tracker.
Knowledge of SQL is an added advantage.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:
Prior experience on testing of Siebel applications.
Proven ability to function well in a team environment.
Must be proactive, self-directed, self-motivated, detailed, quick learner and organized.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
