To read related BRD and FSD to understand what needs to be tested and decide how it is to be tested.
Prepare test cases and test scripts with detailed steps.
Test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and expected results.
Conduct functional testing, regression testing, SIT and UAT support
Execute functional tests, data tests, regression tests, connectivity tests.
Defect tracking and coordinating with business users, BA and tech team to resolve the issues and determine defect priority, severity.
Good understanding of QA and testing tools like HP ALM, JIRA, Confluence.
Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release.
Conduct impact analysis of defect fixes discovered during manual or automated tests and work with development team to improve the expected behavior and test cases.
