Responsibilities:
Work with all levels of the development team to resolve problems and ambiguities.
Design, document, track, and communicate test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems
Lead all aspects of the testing process of sub-projects.
Interact with project managers and teams in order to accurately maintain and implement the performance criteria.
Install, maintain, and use testing software programs to perform testing and compare observed performance to product specifications and documentation.
Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in product performance.
Develop overall competency by mapping resource, technical and test instrumentation to highlight gaps and future roadmap
Prepare finance estimates highlighting resource, CAPEX requirements and get necessary budget approvals
Mentor junior test engineering resources
Review computer logs and report to identify program processing errors and possible improvements.
Participate in the product design specification review process, establishment of standards and procedures for program design and testing, and take part in the product documentation.
Identify product variances from standards and suggest modifications to conform.
Write new test procedures and test cases for new functionality.
Recommend program improvements or revisions as appropriate.
Establish benchmarks for product performance.
Assist Manufacturing in developing FOQ protocols and training manufacturing staff in carrying out those protocols.
Respond to inquiries from technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs
Qualification
Bachelor’s or equivalent Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or chemical Engineering
Academic training in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering is desirable.
Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
Prior experience in setting up testing facilities, enhancing lab infra is add-on
Experience in Ion Chromatography operation and proficient in Instrument Test Methodology development, automation, and archiving is add-on
Able to take ownership of a problem and strive to implement the solution as an individual and as a teammate
Able to detail all processes and test results and communicate to others in verbal and written form.
