Lead testing efforts for the distributed Quality Assurance teams, consisting of Manual Testers as well as Test Automation Engineers.
Design, build and maintain test automation frameworks
Automate test cases and design, develop, and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts.
Analyze issues related to automated and/or load testing, research and propose solutions, and add, modify, or enhance previously recorded automated scripts.
Lead the automation development projects and automation engineers to build automation frameworks.
CI/CD/Devops practices to release high quality software to production.
Automation code reviews, code merges and resolve code conflicts.
Analyze test results and determine root causes of issues. Determine severity and scope of issues to guide prioritization for resolution.
Provide regular software defect tracking and regression updates and present status and technical reports as required.
Assist in planning, developing, and delivering training related to automated test tools and frameworks.
Review, establish, and maintain thorough documentation, templates, and process improvements and communicate technical issues to engineering leadership and business stakeholders.
Work closely with other engineering team members and departments on technical issues and updates.
Keep abreast of technology trends and advancements within areas of specialization and incorporate improvements into the overall testing process.
What You Have:
5+ years of experience in software testing with Web and Mobile applications using manual and automated tools.
3+ years of experience of leading QA Engineer and QA Automation Engineers
3+ Strong experience in automated testing practices and tools — Selenium, or other similar tools and Web Service testing
Experience leading teams with distributed global locations.
Strong experience in SDLC, Agile development and test methodology.
Experience with Test Management Tools (Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools, TestRail, BrowserStack….)
Deep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting)
Experience with writing test scripts from scratch for manual testing and leading projects to go live without defects to production environments.
Strong hands-on programming skills with an object oriented language (C++, Java, Python, or .NET); preferably Java
In depth knowledge of SOA frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches
Experience in REST API testing and automating API workflows.
Degree in an engineering discipline (Computer Science/Computer Engineering/information Technology/MIS)
