Qualification: B. Tech / B.E / M. Tech / MCA in Computer Science / IT
Industry experience: 5 - 9 years of working experience on manual testing and/or automation testing of enterprise products with client server architecture
Roles and responsibilities:
Ability to be independently Lead a scrum team tester for testing areas of planning/strategizing/implementing end to end testing of complex solutions
Technically mentoring/leading junior team members
Understand, estimate, and test working with lead / architect / product manager for new features considering functional and non-functional aspects
Actively work and collaborate with team members to review design documents and provide timely and meaningful feedback
Actively work and collaborate with senior engineers for reviewing test cases and test approaches
Closely collaborate with technical writers to create and maintain product documentation
Understand customer environment, deployments to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues arising from field
Ability to independently manage priorities in assigned areas of responsibility and demonstrate continuous improvement
Ability to collaborate with global team and thrive in a fast-paced environment to learn rapidly
Inclined towards innovation and stays plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends
Required skills
Experience in end-to-end testing of applications as well as system software applications on Windows (Additionally on Linux or Unix operating systems preferred)
Strong knowledge & practical experience in using test design techniques and software testing
Strong Knowledge/practical experience of working in Agile projects
Installation/configuration/administration skills of one or more of Windows, Unix, Linux Operating systems
Automation: Exposure to scripting languages - Python, Perl, Shell, or programming languages like C/C++/Java
Desirable skills
Knowledge of advanced test designs
Exposure to Databases like Oracle, Sybase, Ms-SQL, MySQL, Agile/Scrum model
Experience using Hibernate, JDBC, database programming, SQL programming
Experience working on enterprise-grade solutions
Deep understanding of best test practices
Experience of agile development methodologies such as SCRUM
Experience of Test-Driven Development practices
Knowledge of Secure development lifecycle
Experience using unit test frameworks such as Junit
Knowledge of Windows, Linux Operating System, and related tools
