The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible to work on complex enterprise applications as part of OpenText’s IX (GXS) product solutions, achieving organization’s goal of delivering high quality and on time releases.
This role is an individual contributor role and requires hands-on experience in Manual/Automated testing.
A person should be able to manage all end-to-end testing activities.
He/She should be able to write test plans/strategies and should be able to execute them.
He/She should be able to write an automation framework from scratch and should be able to write test scripts.
You are great at:
Hands-on experience in Manual and Automated testing
Experience in testing complex enterprise-level applications.
Ability to understand business requirements and point out discrepancies in the same.
Excellent understanding of REST API testing using tools like Postman, or Others
Excellent in API automation using Rest Assured and BDD frameworks like JBehave/Cucumber.
Implementation, execution of automation scenarios, creating/developing test scripts.
Excellent in DevOps CICD tools like Jenkins or similar CI systems and configuration management tools.
Proficient with Core Java.
Excellent knowledge in Manual Testing - Knowledge of designing Test cases, Verifying, and validating REST API and documentation based on standards for Software Development
Excellent in test management, defects tracking and automation tools.
Excellent in preparing automated Test data, Test Suite and Test bed
Excellent in preparing Test plan, Test cases and Test scripts
Excellent Functional, Regression, Integration, System level and Accessibility testing
Excellent in detecting Bugs, classifying them based on severity, priority and logging them in defect tracking tool and manage the defect through Bug life cycle
Participates in agile estimation taking into consideration product and process requirements during the development lifecycle
Provides technical leadership and influence on other team members
Should be able to train and mentor team members
Should be good at conducting a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements
Knowledge of ALM tools such as Jira
Great communication skills
Knowledge of Application servers like Tomcat would be plus
Knowledge on creating and deploying VMWare virtual machines
What it takes:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of enterprise product testing experience
Passion for Quality
Working knowledge in Agile/Scrum development processes
Should be good at collaborating with distributed teams
Demonstrated organizational, decision-making, human relations, and communications skills
Demonstrated ability to acquire new skills in the use of software testing tools and methodologies and effectively put the new skills into practice
Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
Possess strong problem-solving skills, the right attitude to debug and do RCA.
Should be good at analyzing test results, identifying issues, and reporting bugs.
Experience with Dockers and related containerization technology, Kubernetes or related orchestration software, Helm
Preferable knowledge with one of the cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
Preferable knowledge of performance & security testing
