Takes on the development and maintenance of automated tests written in C# for testing new and existing features as they are developed and delivered.
Takes on the development and enhancement of our existing automation framework which is written in C#.
Writes data driven back-end tests using relational & non-relational databases.
Works with product management to define & clarify functional specifications & requirements.
Works with development to review and understand design documents and then determines what needs to be updated for the QA framework.
Derives framework, automated & manual tests from specifications and development design documents.
Plans and defines the testing approach, providing advice on prioritization of testing activity in support of identified risks in project schedules or test scenarios.
Deploys environments using cloud platforms such as AWS via Azure DevOps.
Works with other Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers in an agile team environment, participating in software test framework design, code reviews, developing tools, developing mock services and automation tests in C#.
Learns about and becomes an expert in our registry platform and industry.
Sets up, manages and maintains test configurations in our TeamCity continuous integration environment and continuously runs tests for regression.
Maintains work items (bugs, test plans and estimates) to reflect the work accomplished.
Looks beyond the obvious for test cases, planning, scalability, performance and continuous improvement opportunities.
Provides day-to-day guidance of individuals including mentoring, work allocation, onboarding, training and supporting new team members as needed.
Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to other SDET contributors.
Acts as point of escalation and subject matter expert for other SDETs in the team.

Who you Are / What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
5+ years of relevant experience as a Software Developer in Test role.
5+ years of experience with OO coding in C#.
5+ years of experience with SQL queries and stored procedures white box testing (MS-SQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL), being able to review and change if required to get an environment working after deployment.
5+ years experience in automation testing of XML/Json API backend services.
Experience being a trouble shooter, problem solver in an internal support role as a subject matter expert.
Ability to work independently and learn as you go.
Proficient in troubleshooting technical problems.
Proficient in reading and understanding developer code written in C# and/or Python.
Experience leading & mentoring a SDET team preferred.
Experience working with cloud technologies preferred.
Experience working within AWS is preferred.
Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated experience utilizing initiative and problem solving to overcome obstacles.
