Job Description
The Lead Verification and Validation Engineer contributes to testing of HMI application and various other tools for Solar Turbine. This position requires experience applying Python and selenium technologies for automation and good system understanding
What You Will Do:
Collaborate with a team of developers and testers to create valid quality gates
Collaborate with testing team to create automation scripts in python
Maintain the test plan suite in Azure Devops and track the testing activities
Collaborate with testers in India and Onsite to complete the validation activities
Improve the automation coverage to reduce the manual effort
Review code and coach team to ensure required coding standards are maintained.
Maintain the automation suite and look for upgrades in case of vulnerabilities
Work with testers to recreate the field issue/defects in the lab setup
Maintain the test setup and support the development team for their testing need
Test and update web applications so that they can be used on all web browsers
Work with the Leads to create product plans, resource and scope estimates and feature technical specifications
BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE
6+ years of professional experience in Python, Selenium for desktop and web application testing with automation and manual procedures
Experience developing applications with Agile team methodologies preferred.
Highly proficient in Selenium, Pywin, Pytest modules and Unit test framework
Proficient in using Git as a control system
