Responsibilities:
Design quality assurance and test process for portions/subsystems of Network Operating System (NOS) products and platforms.
Write and execute complete test plans; Identify, debug and create solution for issues/defects in software and firmware product/solution
Work/Coordinate with other software quality assurance engineers and internal/outsourced development partners to develop reliable and cost-effective testing and quality assurance solutions for assigned applications/subsystem/solution
Collaborate and communicate with management for test plans, project progress, and issue resolution
Maintain documentation of test results/details to assist in debug and modification of software.
Recreate the set up to reproduce the customer found defects
Perform both Manual and Automation testing activities
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent from leading engineering institutions in India/abroad
3 to 5 years of Software engineering experience in Networking domain
Knowledge and Skills:
Good understanding of networking protocols (L2 and/or L3) & fundamentals
Working knowledge of Embedded firmware technologies
Hands-on experience in configuring and operating standard network test gear (IXIA, Xgig, etc.) for protocol testing & troubleshooting purpose
Using standard testing tools and software packages to automate test processes
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Hands-on experience in scripting (shell scripts, perl, python, etc.) and development of test automation frameworks will be a plus
Testing experience in Network Operating Systems (NOS) firmware products and solutions will be a plus
Experience in Storage networking protocols (FC, FCoE) is a plus
Knowledge of Networking security technologies (RoT, TPM, etc.), practices & standards is an added advantage
