Job Responsibilities:
Designs test strategies, updates, develops test plan for systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
Develops, Analyzes and reviews scripts for test cases on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution. Reviews Functionality guides and provides upfront gaps in implementation
Writes and develops reports like scale and performance for protocols, competitor analysis for assigned portion of application and features.
Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced test partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development test regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex projects.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically 7-12 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Expertise in multiple test tools and scripting languages.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Test software systems running on multiple platform types; run test cases for these in the area of functionality, negative testing, Solution testing, interoperability testing, scale and performance testing
Software systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging of CFDs and development scripts.
Very good Hands testing knowledge of L3 features like OSPF, VRRP, ARP, EVPN , VxLAN, MPLS , BPG , PIM and IGMP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
