Roles & Responsibilities:
• Plan performance tests and provide data requirements based on the NFR provided by the business.
• Work to identify test cases, script tests, execute tests, monitor runs and analyze test results and work with Developers and Engineers to perform bug fixes.
• Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability. Perform root cause analysis of performance issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Lead Technology Initiatives to address stability, performance and resilience of production systems.
• Identify key areas to focus on to improve the environments overall production readiness. This will include not only working with Consumer Finance leaders, but will also include defining and hands-on leading engineering efforts to drive that result in better performance and availability of the bank's production systems.
• Build, Leverage and Maintain effective alliance with Business/Development team.
• Lead Resolution of Escalated Operational Issues – the Performance Engineering team is on-call at all times for critical performance related operational issues. This role will all have deep technical expertise and a broad understanding of how all Cards/UL systems are engineered and will have hands on experience for identifying root cause, determining
Requirements
Master or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.6+ years of proven work experience.
Ability to work independently on project performance testing with minimal supervision.
Able to understand the complex architecture of the product developed in various different technologies like. net, java.
Associate should have Performance Testing strong skills with working experience on APIs and Web Applications
Understanding of the requirements / architecture and NFR
Expertise in Preparation of Test Strategy for Performance, Scalability, Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance and Volume Testing and Project Working Closely with Product Owners and Development Team
Expertise in development of scripts for Web serveries / HTTP protocol using with LoadRunner / Vugen
Expertise in LoadRunner / Performance center and Application performance management tools ( Grafana / Dynatrace …)
Identify the Test Environment, Test Data Requirement and Setup Test Environment
Review product specifications and provide input on application performance requirements
Identify & Implement Performance Monitoring Tools, Identify Key Metrics that are needs to be monitored and provided for each Tier of the Applications
Accurately analyze performance, Load and scalability test results and Publish Results and analysis
Should be able to Isolate Performance Bottleneck and identify the Root cause and Assist Developers in fixing the issue
Ensure that performance Scripts are upgraded based on the latest Releases to product / platform
Ensure that new and existing product functionality are reliable, stable and defect free
Design and execute application performance tests for scalability testing, stress testing, load testing and volume testing
Monitor application logs to review system behavior
Analyze CPU Utilization, Memory Usage, Network Usage and various reports to verify performance of the product
Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation for validation and analysis
Experience with performance bottleneck analysis, system design for scaling
Experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring), RUM (Real User Monitoring), and other Dev. tools used for Performance monitoring and analysis
Passionate about finding software performance bottlenecks and optimizing code to produce a better customer experience
Participate in the development and reporting of test metrics; items such as test confidence and test coverage reports
