About the Role:
The Principal Quality Test Engineer position plays a key role within our Data Platform team. The role owns & drives the quality engineering aspects of our Metrics & Insights domain. It provides subject matter expertise and guidance on implementation of new technology. It provides thought-leadership. Embedded with Squads for product engineering, it drives the Quality Guild & Chapters to design & implement Quality Engineering strategy and architect performance and automation testing solutions.
Responsibilities
• Leading the Quality Chapter for a Product group
• Linking the Research Technology Quality Guild and local Quality Chapter
• Researching & implementing automation & performance tooling
• Coaching Squads on quality approaches
• Delivering product in squad
• Working with Architecture & Development to plan architecture & testing approaches / tooling appropriate for that architecture
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering
• Experience implementing REST API Automation with rest assured or similar tools
• Use performance testing automation tools such as JMeter/Gatling or similar tools
• Understand the importance of gathering useful metrics around performance and load testing and have experience helping teams to achieve this
• Be able to work with several squads at the same time, while championing quality and ensuring delivery
