Position Summary:
Main role of Automation Engineer is to gather functional requirements related to automation, planning, developing, execution and coordinating automation testing activities for various projects. Additional responsibilities includes single user analysis and automated data preparation.
Work you’ll do
As an “Automation Engineer”, you will be expected to be a highly analytical, collaborative engineer who must be capable of selecting the proper automation techniques and tools and conduct appropriate test methodologies.
Essential job functions:
Gather functional requirements related to test automation and provide estimates for scope of work
Preparing scripts, test data, execution & analysis of business processes.
Single user analysis and root cause analysis if any issues via Java/Selenium/TestNG.
Support test automation solutions for different environments (Web, Mobile, Web services and XML).
Creating appropriate utilities, and automation scripts that assist teams in functional testing and to create test data.
Constantly support in evaluate test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement
Work closely with project team towards successful test phases.
Add / Update tasks in VSTS, MPP or any other tracking tool used on the projects.
Setup and execute test scenarios via Visual Studio/Jenkins for CI&CD.
Perform Single User Analysis for all the critical user actions using Fiddler/HTTP watch.
Responsible for automation test analysis and creation of presentation templates.
Communicate issues to management, client and support groups as needed regarding finds from testing activities and support issues.
Attend regular project calls and updating automation status to the project team.
Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
Responsible for successful execution and alerting team leads and managers of obstacles, issues and risks.
Qualifications
Required:
4+ years Automated testing experience (Script generation, Execution, Analysis and Reporting)
Educational Qualification: Engineering / Bachelor’s Degree
Possess in-depth knowledge of multiple automation tools (Selenium/UFT/Coded UI/Cucumber etc.)
Basic knowledge in VB Scripting/Windows Shell Scripting/.NET
Basic knowledge in SQL commands (SQL Server / ORACLE / HANA)
Should have strong knowledge on JAVA/VSTS/TFS/MAVEN.
Must have knowledge on of web, windows, mobile and SAP based technologies;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred:
Knowledge in Coded UI/ UFT
Awareness of Mobile development platform.
Awareness of Agile development environment especially SCRUM.
Having knowledge on any of open sources tools like device anywhere, appium, perfecto mobile.
Experience working in extremely large-scale computing infrastructures.
Experienced in defining, designing, creating, & executing tests in cross browser compatibility
Experience with environment infrastructure in terms of setup and configuration required.
Understands enterprise wide networks and software implementations.
