Responsibilities:
Strategic
Developing automation test scenarios following a risk-based approach. Theses should be created from discussions with key stakeholders, requirements documentation, solution design, high level test plan, business process maps and project documentation
Supporting ensuring that all technical preparations have been completed prior to commencing test activities i.e. test environments stable and ready for use, entry criteria met, test accounts set-up, access devices ready for testing
Ensuring that test scripts are maintained and managed within Test Toolset
Executing test scenarios and managing results spanning integration testing (functional, non-functional) and regression testing
Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities as required
Supporting Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) as required
Supporting reporting on progress of test activities and against entry & exit criterion
Supporting requirements traceability and demonstrating test progress against this
Using a combination of automated (TOSCA) and manual test scripts to test the installation and basic functionality of the application
Conducting full analysis of the results returned and handing over any defects which, upon review, are found to be valid.
Identifying and raising defects against solutions
Adherence to the overarching Test team strategy, process & test methodologies
Key Responisibilites
Creating new automation scripts
Managing and maintaining automation test framework, regression, and smoke scripts
Coordinating with test team members to ensure any changes are fed into scripts
Continually reviewing and ensuring alignment to the overall Automation Strategy and Framework
Report progress and provide any test metrics or reports required to support the Test Manager/Lead.
Accurately and comprehensively record defects discovered during execution of test cases.
Continual improvement and ad-hoc test team activities as required
Performing Manual Testing activities to support functional team during releases as required
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology
6+ years’ experience in a similar role and Enterprise organisation.
Essential
6+ years of total experience
4 years of test automation experience using TOSCA/Selenium.
3-4 years of test automation experience using any other automation tool preferably TOSCA.
Experience using VSTS ADO as source control tools.
Good to have experience with source control tools such as VSTS/JIRA
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, VB Script, JavaScript, web services and Java.
Ability to build good relationships & conduct effective technical discussions with peers.
Ability to derive automation workarounds when standard approaches are not working.
Good to have
Good to have experience with testing automation tools like Selenium and UFT
Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams and ability to coordinate across teams
