The Tech Lead – QA is a senior technical role responsible for for designing end-to-end testing strategies, modernization of quality engineering practices through advanced automation, AI-driven testing-Autonomous & self-healing automation, and strategic tooling decisions. This individual will provide guide technical staff, and support to engineering, product, DevOps, and QA leadership.

This role requires deep expertise in automation, performance, and database frameworks. The Tech Lead QA plays a critical part in improving quality outcomes, accelerating delivery, and mentoring technical teams across initiatives.

Responsibilities
Own the architecture and scalability of QA automation frameworks spanning UI, API, database, performance, and non-functional testing.
Review, mentor, and coach QA engineers on scripting, framework design, prompt engineering, and AI/ML-assisted testing.
Lead adoption and integration of AI/ML-based testing solutions (e.g., Functionize, Playwright with Cursor, Copilot,Devin) to improve test coverage, reduce test cycle time, and enhance defect prediction. Develop
Implement the quality standards, test processes, code quality checks, and governance models across QA initiatives
Define and lead test strategy, planning, and execution for complex features and large-scale releases, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Leverage AI-driven testing platforms like Functionize/Playwright with Cursor AI to optimize test execution, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, QA Manager and DevOps to drive quality-first approaches and ensure test coverage across agile delivery pipelines.
Stay current with emerging QA technologies, including AI-assisted testing, performance tools, observability platforms, and AI code editors.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
12+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 7+ years in a senior technical lead role.
Proven expertise in automation tools such as Playwright or Functionize, or equivalent.
Expert in scripting languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Bash.
Strong experience in test management tools such as TestRail and Azure DevOps.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Playwright) and backend validation using SQL across databases such as Snowflake, Postgres, or SQL Server.
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps principles.
Deep experience in integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins).
Expert in non-functional testing tools such as JMeter or K6.
Strong knowledge of AI-driven testing tools, prompt engineering, and AI-powered development environments like Copilot, Cursor AI or Devin.
Expertise is cloud testing platforms like lambdatest, browserstack
