As the QA Engineer on an agile team you will lead an effort of quality and acceptance criteria in the team.
Candidate must be able to focus on demonstrating that stories and code meet a customer ready standard.
Also, to be successful and productive given an aggressive development schedule, test automation must be a key focus for this candidate.
You will have opportunities to contribute broadly to the product, including its infrastructure, back-end components, overall robustness, scalability, manageability, especially on code quality perspective.
You will work closely with other test engineers, leads and developers to define and build tests to deliver high quality end-to-end customer ready software on highly agile teams.
Requirements
5-8 years of professional software testing or test automation development experience for shipping high quality commercial enterprise applications
Good in oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines to achieve desired outcomes.
Expertise as a QA engineer/QA SDET on an agile team.
Expertise in one of the major test automation frameworks such as BDD - Cucumber-JVM, Selenium, JUnit/TestNG.
Expertise in automated test script development using any languages - preferably Java/Python
Should have worked on test automation framework design and implementation
Should have good knowledge in various test automation design patterns and implementing them
Should have experience in API testing & API test automation is plus
Responsibilities:
Solid understanding of agile software quality assurance and processes.
Strong desire to join and influence an agile development team and build quality software.
Participating in the planning, development and testing of key features as a member of an agile team.
Work with Product Owner to define acceptance criteria and part of grooming sessions.
Work with Developers to understand the scope and requirements implied in acceptance criteria.
Design and code automated tests to validate story acceptance criteria.
Understand existing test framework and work on improving existing features and new enhancements that benefits product & team.
