The QA Engineer candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, End-Users, and Developers to facilitate and understand requirements and shall be able to prepare software documents for a technical audience. The candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in the field of Software Quality Assurance.
Responsibilities
Should be able to create effective test plans and test cases, scenarios, and supporting data based on requirements and design documentation/specs.
Should have experience with Software Quality Assurance concepts, practices, and procedures.
Should have experience working on an agile/scrum development team participating in daily scrums.
Should maintain training materials and update documents after each product release.
Experience using wikis to develop large document libraries.
Should share review copies to subject matter experts (SMEs) for comment and approval of documented information.
Familiarity with Content Management and Versioning tools is a plus.
Should update documentation for minor software releases and author complex documents from scratch for major releases.
Should maintain document repository and document tracking system for procedures, proposals, and other important information.
Should have Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them into clear, easy-to-understand content.
Should display a high degree of adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to assist fellow team members.
Experience with Service Now software is an added advantage.
Hands-on experience on authoring tools such as Adobe FrameMaker and Acrobat
Experience with DITA or other XML-based authoring/publication systems, Visio or other graphics programs desired
Work with technical teams to obtain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and the documentation requirements
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
3+ years of experience writing software documentation for a technical audience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
Experience in working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word skills.
Experience with Confluence, JIRA, Acrobat, workflow illustrations, APIs, and content security. Experience in using Atlassian Confluence to maintain document libraries.
Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Captivate, HTML, and CSS a plus.
Experienced with advanced authoring software such as Adobe FrameMaker, Acrobat, and RoboHelp.
