Job Description

Job Summary:

• The QA Engineer, who will be responsible for functional testing of Kofax Batch Classes and customizations.

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role

• Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle and QA methodologies.

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus

• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

• Experience with one or more defect tracking tools viz. QC, JIRA, Bugzilla

• Experience is testing applications built across technologies/platforms (like but not limited to web,desktop, legacy, .Net)

• Proficient in interacting with clients/stake-holders and business users/analysts to comprehend, analyze and implement requirements

• Strong debugging skills

• Strong understanding of SQL commands

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Attention to detail, Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude

• Strong organizational skills

• Experience in mentoring and assisting team members to resolve issues/concerns with scripts/implementation

• Excellent problem solving, detail oriented and organizational skills.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Review and analyze system specifications

• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans

• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results

• Evaluate product code according to specifications

• Create logs to document testing phases and defects

• Report bugs and errors to development teams

• Reporting and documenting technical issues

• Help troubleshoot issues

• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan and implement requirements.

Skills Required

• Mandatory Skills – QA Testing (Manual/Automation) , TSQL, QC/JIRA/Bugzilla

• Good to Have – Kofax Capture, Web services, Automation Tools 

Qualification Required

• Qualification: BE/BTech/MCA

• Experience: 5-8 Years in QA Testing
