Responsibilities:
Own the customer experience: Partner with engineering teams in order to create efficient test plans covering relevant use-cases
Translate functional specifications into test specifications
Advocate for customer experience during testing & design review
Ability to estimate & deliver test results consistently & accurately
Partner with automation team when designing/planning test plans
Plan & communicate clearly & execute to plan
Required Skills:
BS or MS in Computer Science with 4 years minimum experience in Quality Assurance role
Proficient in an object oriented programming language like Java or Python
Strong debugging skills
4+ years experience in testing one or more of the following areas: Cloud Storage, ESXi and/or Linux Platform Software, High Availability, File Systems
Experience with backup / DR solutions such as Zerto, Veeam, SRM, etc.
Strong QA mentality with problem-solving skills
Proficient with SCM tools such as Git
Create tests for features at a rapid pace without compromising product quality
Troubleshoot & debug issues in order to provide clear defect description
Communicate and collaborate across all functional teams
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and most importantly a team player
Preferred skills:
4+ years of experience in deploying, configuring and troubleshooting storage and/or networking systems
4+ years of experience in any one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C or C++
Knowledge of Virtualization and Container technologies including VMWare, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes
Administrative experience with Amazon Web Services
Familiarity with IO test tools such as VDBench, FIO, HCIBench
Ability to work independently
Strong teamwork mentality and ability to work cross functionally
