The Purpose of This Role:
This role focuses on the testing the systems developed on mainframe within NQDC (nonqualified deferred compensation) space. Quality Engineer on this role is expected to understand the NQDC business, develop the test strategy aligning with business impact and perform different types of testing – (Functional, Regression, Integration, Customer Experience). Quality Engineer is expected to follow the QE best practices while they continue to build of the NQDC business/domain.

Translate business and systems requirements into technical requirements for testing
Design, develop, document, and maintain test strategy & cases.
Actively contributing in the day-to-day planning, design, execution, and reporting metrics and KPI’s
Look for opportunities to automate test which need repeated execution.
Collaborate with other team members / Squad members resources to:
Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform.
The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical / Behavioral
You should have worked project related to maintaining ledgers / financial transactions
You should have good analytical skills and high aptitude to learn and adapt to new processes
You should have a good understanding of the software testing process
Have hands on experience in testing Mainframe systems/utilities. Ex – Copybooks, VSAM, CICS
You should have good Written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Have a good understanding of how a scrum team works and scrum ceremonies
Your ability to work effectively with both business customers and project team members will be a strong factor that will be considered
The Skills those are good to have for this role
The following experience is a strong plus:
Mainframe Testing
Hands on SQL, Test Data setup
Functional, Regression, Integration & E2E Testing
Working Knowledge of Mainframes / Batch
Working Knowledge on CICS, VSAM, Copybooks
Prior project experience related to maintaining ledgers / financial transactions
Automation Tools knowledge will be a plus but not mandatory
The Expertise we’re looking for:
6 – 9 years of Mainframe Test experience, which includes any of the following:
6 – 9 overall years’ experience in Mainframe Testing
6 – 9 overall years’ experience on projects related to maintaining ledgers / financial transactions
5+ years of experience on Testing/using CICS, VSAM, Copybooks
5+ years’ experience in SQL to setup test data
4+ years’ experience in using utilities like – copybook/File-AID, Spool
