Actively collaborate with development and product management to deliver high-quality product releases
Acts as a SME for validation and test process and understands test & validation tools as a SME, contributes to product design, implementation and support in collaboration with the QA team.
Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plan and test cases
Write test plans/cases for business features that can be run as manual tests or implemented as automated tests
Identify test data requirements and generate required data to support testing.
Review and analyse requirements, specifications and technical design document and provide timely feedback
Provide timely feedback regarding product quality by identifying risks and uncovering defects
Understand the behaviour of complex web-based applications and apply that knowledge towards testing.
Clearly report and help prioritize issues found during testing and Create test deliverables required and project testing standards.
Work collaboratively with other testers, developers, and stakeholders and Contribute during design reviews and recommend product improvements.
Take ownership of leading the test automation effort of an assigned project and its features.
Design, develop and maintain API tests for various backend services.
Support large-scale load tests using JMeter and AWS cloud services.
Implement continuous performance testing to regularly make recommendations for performance improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Devs, DevOps and Support.
Work at a fast pace with a globally distributed team on frequent releases
Our Ideal Candidate
Experience in Manual, Automation and Performance Testing.
Experience with the latest tools and industry best practices - Front-end web application test automation (e.g., Selenium WebDriver) and REST API testing framework.
Good exposure in AWS and related services, well versed in deploying and debugging applications on the AWS environment.
Experience with CI/CD Pipeline.
Experience in developing test plans, test matrixes and implementation of test automation.
Hands-on experience in working with SQL queries.
Hands-on experience in automating RESTful API testing and Micro Services Testing (e.g Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI, etc.).
Hands-on programming experience in Java and JavaScript.
In-depth knowledge of QA concepts, test frameworks, and automation tools.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, fanatical attention to detail, and curiosity.
Strong desire to work in an unstructured, fast-moving start-up environment.
Should be able to drive a QA team comprising of 5-6 QA Engineers.
Qualification
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related discipline with IT focus.
10+ years of the overall experience. 6+ years of experience working on QA automation.
4+ years of People management experience.
