Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Monitors, promotes and continuously evaluates quality management initiatives and programs. 

Oversees internal and external audit projects, and ensures follow up with a timely response on corrective action.

Evaluates testing practices and tools to improve the testing process and quality of results.

Reviews the results of testing sessions, and develops and implements technical improvements.

Approves the design and development of usability testing programs, cases, scenarios and processes to ensure that all functions are thoroughly tested.

Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of team.

Scope of Services
Participation in Story Grooming sessions and perform Requirement Analysis on stories
Creating Test Plan (Test Strategy) and Test Scenarios
Translating Test Scenarios to Test Cases (Sprint & E2E) and create Requirement Traceability Matrix
Execution of Functional and Regression Cases
E2E Testing of In Scope Items required for a Release including Sprint Testing
Defect Reporting, Triage and Management through life cycle of defects
Daily and Weekly Status Reporting
Coordination with Onsite leads
Analyze Production Incidents and create Root Cause Analysis (RCA) document
Create Defect Prevention Strategies based on RCA performed
Updating regression suite every release
Perform thorough testing on fixes for Production Incidents
Design & maintenance of automation scripts & test cases and Execution of automated cases
Continuous Improvement in all aspects of Testing Lifecycle

Additionally, the leads will also be responsible for:
Participating in Daily Scrum Meetings
Working along with Onshore Leads in Estimation, Test Strategy, Test Plan creations
Develop SME skills and train Quality Analysts
Reporting on Testing Progress to required stakeholders as determined by QA Managers/Onsite Leads
Timely escalation of issues to appropriate leads and managers to avoid slippage in delivery
Reacting immediately to impediments in progress and taking necessary steps
Working with right team members to quicken issues related to scope finalizations, getting clarity on defects or requirements, getting Environment issues resolved etc.
Guide and mentor team members who are direct reportees.

Other requirements -
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge management and documentation skills, problem solving & analytical skills are needed
Knowledge on Financial services / Retirement domain needed
10-12 years of relevant work experience
