We are seeking a talented and technically strong individual to fulfill a Quality Assurance Manager role. You will join our QA team creating test plans, writing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the quality of our PTT solution, from the back-end servers to the front-end PC and browser-based clients.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Drive manual and automated testing efforts for Windows Server and RHEL applications
Write clear, maintainable test plans and cases covering functional, regression, and performance tests
Participate in design discussions with developers to ensure features are designed and implemented meeting testability requirements
Identify, measure, and analyze relevant software quality metrics
Work with an Agile team of software development engineers to improve quality throughout the software development lifecycle, including being accountable for your work committed during a sprint
Self-starter who can work independently and as a member of a team
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Support other team members through mentoring, writing documentation, and preparing training materials
Participate in Functional Requirements and Design Reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
8+ years of experience with manual or automated software testing
2+ years of experience testing in a Windows Server environment
Experience with scripting languages and automated testing tools, including Python, PowerShell, Jenkins, and/or Selenium
Experience with troubleshooting and log analysis tools, including Wireshark and Notepad++
Experience with network fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, and SIP and with virtualization.
Experiences in creating test plans and test cases in Test Rail or similar Toole
Experience in using Agile Tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps., Rally
Desired Skills:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with digital or analog PTT radio systems
Knowledge of C#, C++, or Java
Experience in the following:
IAVA and STIG Reviews
Hardening
Nessus Scanning
Participate in Secure Design review
Basic Requirements:
Manage a Team of 5-6 People
8+ years of experience with manual or automated software testing
