Expand and leverage the infrastructure; focus on QA engineer experience, integration and scalability.
Drive product excellence by understanding metrics for code quality, release velocity, and improvements to products using tools and infrastructure.
Mentor employees on QA practices and software design principles.
Manage QA engineers, including all aspects of career development and mentoring.
Work closely with project teams and collaborate with senior leadership on a daily basis.
Performing assessment of the ability of self and team members, providing feedback and fostering continuous improvement.
Provide insights to software quality & risks to engineering team
Support and take direction from a QA Automation Lead, Organizational QA Lead, QA Management and other key project stakeholders
Work closely & effectively with team members and key projects stakeholders
Work closely with Engineering Stakeholders to enable DevOps and CI/CD practices
Effectively manage schedule to regularly attend meetings and deliver on accountable work
Support Quality Assurance testing frameworks & protocols within a software development engineering team
Exercise discretion and independent judgment to perform practical application of computer systems analysis and software quality assurance testing
Provide support across multiple projects to ensure high-quality software releases
Ensure quality is consistent across all major release and is represented during project planning, development, and launches
What You Know
10-12 years experience in Software Quality Assurance; planning and executing the Integration, Functional, End to End, and UAT test cycles within Agile/DevOps/Continuous Integration environments.
Experience in leading the team in the professional career
Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Familiarity with agile processes
People management experience is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders.
Knowledge of Retail Domain is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering, Computer applications or related field
