Knowledge with the SDLC activities expected to develop custom developed and packaged applications with exposure to all types of testing (Unit, System, Integration, Performance, Security, etc.) is required. Experience in Agile development, experience with Team Foundation Server, including entering User Stories, Bugs, Enhancements, Burndown, and working with offshore resources. Strong test management skills and a thorough understanding of testing and analysis deliverables (including UML artifacts and how they relate to the development process). Strong technology acumen and track record of hands-on implementations across multiple technologies.
Experience using modern testing tools required (ex. Quality Center, Load Runner, etc.).
Ability to translate technical data and concepts into actionable testing approaches. Strong background in implementing enterprise initiatives on a large scale.
Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) or 5 yrs IT experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated QA experience in a QA manager or QA lead role.
Significant experience in Data engineering or data product related testing.
Proficient in python C#, Java, Selenium, Azure DevOps, VSTS, VS Code, JMeter, Blazemeter or similar tools
Must have leading and managing experience in all QA activities: data engineering, manual testing, test automation, performance testing.
Strong experience in managing test projects and resources
Team lead experience with offshore – onshore model
Experience extending & building offshore – onshore model
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and come up with solutions to meet project needs
Practical coding experience with automated web testing tools, services, and physical devices or any programming languages (python preferred)
Experience in Automation architecture development and/or maintenance
Excellent communication skills and experience working closely with development and business teams to understand business requirements and work on testing strategies, communicate impacts, own release sign offs. Previous client facing experience is an advantage
Strong knowledge on how to run defect triaging, communicate updates, and impacts.
Ability to build high quality test strategy, test plan, test cases, sign-off for all testing activities: functional, regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end testing.
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results.
Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness for the entire team.
Experience in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
Leadership/mentorship of QA/QE teams
Participate in test strategy discussions, Automation estimations and plan executions
Provide technical guidance/support to onsite/offshore teams.
Fix the issues/challenges within the onsite/offshore teams.
Communicate project team risks with mitigations along with timely follow- ups.
Nice to have non-functional testing understanding for performance testing using JMeter/BlazeMeter.
