• Works under limited supervision.
• Review software requirements, prepare test cases, execute tests, report defects, and prepare test reports.
• Keeps Management advised as to status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays and adverse problems.
• Provides technical assistance and guidance to team members.
• Assists in the training and evaluation of assigned technical personnel.
• Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Assures quality, quantity, and completeness of assigned tasks.
• Plans and schedules discipline efforts associated with assignment(s).
• Assures the timeliness and accuracy of oral and written technical reports on assigned discipline activities.
• Maintains proper files and records.
• Performs a variety of other discipline related work, as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA or BS in Computer Science or Engineering plus 6 years of related experience
Experience with manual and automated testing of desktop, web, and mobile applications.
Knowledge and Experience of Automated tools – Selenium, JMeter etc.
Excellent experience writing test plans and test cases
Excellent experience creating and executing automation test scripts
Basic familiarity with DevOps concepts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ISTQB Certification
Experience implementing test automation tools and automated testing suites
Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum
Experience using SOAP UI/Postman for API Testing, Git for committing code and for creating Pull requests.
Exposure to working with CI/CD Tool – e.g., Jenkins
Previous experience bootstrapping QA on a new initiative
Able to clearly explain ideas and thoughts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to see far-reaching consequences of proposed solutions
Passion for quality, detail oriented, and know how to break software by finding bugs
