Responsible for testing a feature and or a small feature set with ability to work independently, break down problems and estimate time for quality related tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Own medium-sized quality engineering tasks, deliver while mentoring and helping team members.
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process.
Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project and keeps abreast of evolving QA industry processes and standards.
Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
Master the basics of underlying IOT and Predix domain.
Work independently and delivers testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored.
Implement and configures testing tools and at times help junior staffDefine quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns, and provides deep expertise on the coding
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with basic experience.
Desired Characteristics/Technical expertise
Has a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry
Should have minimum of 3-5 years of Software Testing experience with Web or SaaS Platform based products, SQL Server databases.
At least 1 year of experience in owning mid-sized modules or mentoring teammates.
Experience on building Test Automation Frameworks specifically in Javascript.
Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.)
Experience testing hosted or SaaS-based solutions.
Familiar with relational database design and good working knowledge of SQL for querying, updating, and deleting data.
Strong proficiency with functional, regression, performance and stability testing techniques.
Experience working in a cross-functional development team with the ability to influence quality of products in that environment.
