Job Description

Implementation of QA test plans
Implements the testing procedures and plans as formulated by defined metrices.
Establishes the expected standards for the quality assurance tests and communicates those standards to vendor resource
To ensure progress, the team lead sets milestones and comes up with criteria to track timely progress.
Take stock of projects (from RUN / INNOVATE / TRANSFORM), prepare test plan and discuss with the development team and other stakeholders

Adhere to Quality Metrics
Adhering to the set quality standards and metrics for the current project/product.
Working with all stakeholders to ensure that the quality metrics are reviewed, closed, and agreed upon.
Make the team aware of the Quality matrix and resolve all the queries.
Adhere to milestones and checkpoints and set measurable criteria’s to check the quality on timely basis

Adhering to the Testing Strategies
Performing several milestones and tasks like alpha and beta testing.
Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking.
Work closely on the deadlines of the project
Ensure automation regression built is prepared by automation team for all the testing done by the incumbent and team.
Keep raising the bar and standards of all the quality processes with every project.
Push team continuously to innovate.
Review test strategies and see that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, stress, acceptance etc. are getting covered.
Coordination with respective development teams for the projects he is working.

Reporting
Reviewing status reports from team managers and taking appropriate actions accordingly.
Should be focal point of contact for the vendor QA team for all the escalations related to testing and Quality assurance.
Sending crisp and clear status to the higher management.
Creating and defining risks contingencies and plans.
Seeking feedback from management when and wherever necessary.
Share the defect report and learning with development team and suggest improvement areas.
Monitor the call status of testing calls with respect to the established plan and share the review report with relevant stakeholders on a weekly / monthly basis

Stakeholder Management
Suggest new Quality standards for the teams in various new testing technologies for continuous improvement. This may include finding new strategies for automation testing and day to day work processes like agile and scrum.
Maintaining cordial relationships between cross functional teams like BA, Development, Infra, DBA etc.

Skills Required:
8+ years of work experience in Quality and testing
Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, API testing, Manual testing and/or Automation testing
Knowledge of insurance domain
Preparing test plan, interpersonal skills, strong communication are some of the qualities which are preferred
