Minimum requirements:
12+ years of industry experience providing technical and project leadership
Extensive experience testing backend application components in a Linux OS environment
Proficiency at automating simple and complex test cases targeting APIs and UIs using one or more languages
Frontend automation using a Java-Selenium Framework
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Understanding of the CI/CD processes
Extensive experience with Databases and SQL
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred experience:
Experience in leading test projects in a very dynamic environment
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services such as EC2 and S3
Exposure to REST-Assured API automation and performance testing
Knowledge of agile testing methodologies and best practices for continuous delivery (CD)
Programming in Python
What you will do:
Provide technical and project leadership on testing solutions
Strong knowledge of quality management methodologies and techniques
Responsible for evaluating modern testing and quality tools and practices and bringing that knowledge into teams
Establishes coding best practices and guidelines and displays the influence needed to implement drive adoption of those best practices
Maintain automated test jobs in deployment pipeline
Provide day-to-day technical guidance to team members in their areas of responsibility
Actively engaged in seeking new information which yields understanding systems and their integrations
Build trust and maintain relationships with team members of product management and development
Participate in design and code reviews to help mentor other team members and to influence technical direction of testing department
Perform exploratory testing to identify high risk areas, refine requirements, and isolate bugs to increase testability of application
Coordinate test efforts for projects involving multiple teams to ensure appropriate test coverage
Identify acceptance criteria for complex projects and determine priorities for test automation to balance operational efficiency with sufficient test coverage
Identify areas of risk for performance, longevity, and architectural robustness by designing and running longevity and destructive tests
Assist support engineers with escalated customer issues by reading logs, explaining intended behaviors, and identifying defects
