Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will organize and manage QA Analysts as they test software and other technical products to identify and resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues.

General Responsibilities
Coordinates the activities of the Quality Management System
Supervises time management and operational support
Arranges and produces Quality Assurance measures and metrics which report any trends or process improvement opportunities for each project
Coordinate the training and other required activities for the department

Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) with at least 2 or more years experience, or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 6 or more years.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages, mentors, and motivates a team of 5-10 QA Analysts
Defines testing standards and strategies and reviews test plans and scenarios developed by team members
Designs and implements testing plans and scenarios, identifies appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate and assigns tasks to team members as appropriate
Conducts testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines.
Identifies, logs, and recreates error codes, bugs, and defects.
Monitors efforts to resolve product issues and track progress and reports to management
Spots areas for improvement of the processes

Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication.
Ability to manage and motivate junior team members, including monitoring and improving their performance
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with team members, developers, project managers, and customer support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
