About the Role:
As a Manager of QA, you will contribute to the work of the digital products team and ensure that new and existing products meet high standards of usability and quality.
Job Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for leading testing activities across one team.
This will include development and implementation of the following deliverables:
Test Plan, Test Estimate, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Metrics / Dashboard Reporting, Test Results, Defect Management
Strong experience in Automated Testing of web-based application and also API automation
Exposure to Performance Testing, Security Testing and Agile methodologies, CI CD, docker and Jenkins
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services / Cloud and monitoring tools would be a plus
Should be a good people manager and a go to person for all technical needs within the team
Should be self-driven engineer with desire to use practical and professional concepts in QA along with application of QA standards and procedures to resolve routine issues
Should be able to write use cases based on product requirements, execute them and report issues in bug tracking system
Should be self-starter, lead and self-contributing to the QA team to build robust and flexible Automated Testing Framework
Helps QA community to learn Automation, impart necessary technical knowledge
Ability to mentor junior members of the of QA Team on best practices and skills
Improve process and quality via test and process automation: defining right strategy and technology based on process and architecture assessment by engaging different roles and stakeholders
Experience using SQL with regards to writing and understanding queries and procedures
Strong awareness of activities in the open source world and contributing back to open source is a big plus.
Maintain and develop new strategies for Automation framework and all related automation activities.
Ability to balance manual testing with automation.
Clearly articulates verbally and in writing the specifics around defects
Monitors and updates defect reports as needed to ensure timely problem resolution
Performs application and project risk analysis and recommends quality improvements
Independently follows up with design/development resources regarding defects
Communicates in a clear and concise manner all time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and management
Mentor and coach team members and new team members
Performs quality audits to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed by the QA Team.
Responsible for the overall success of testing.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant QA technical experience;
Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA, as well as ensuring the technical translation of requirements into test plans;
Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure cross functional team collaboration and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders;
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases;
Working knowledge of the following technologies and concepts is an asset:
SQL (PostgreSQL) complex queries;
Test Automation, with the focus on Python, Selenium, JMeter, Jenkins, Postman;
Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – be motivated and take informative quick decisions.
