We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead software QA professionals to drive large testing efforts, monitor software development processes and drive automation initiatives with emphasis on innovation and continuous improvements in the Business Network engineering organization.
You are great at:
Build and manage QA teams, including hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members
Creating new automation strategies to enable and drive scrum QA teams across organization
Establish team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvements
Handle diverse team of software Quality Assurance professionals.
Assist continuous professional plans of QA team members.
Annual performance evaluations of team members
Help in resource allocation and estimation efforts for product change requests
Offer continuous improvement by assessing customer issues for root cause and future prevention.
Investigate and explore upcoming new technologies and suggest for enhancements.
Has knowledge and experience of Test Automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium
Triage and analyze defects to identify gaps in test coverage and improvements in the team’s processes
Maintain and continuously improve existing test development processes and practices
Performs internal audits periodically to ensure the QA team is adhering to processes and metrics
Ensure non-functional items such as performance, security, resiliency are considered as appropriate
Ensure 100% test coverage across modules/platforms, Review existing test cases & test plans
Implement QA processes within the team and improve them by defining activities, setting priorities and balancing resources at a team level
Compile quality information needed for the management review
Report quality findings and issues to superiors whenever necessary.
Managing the overall performance of the quality department.
What it takes:
Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and/or related work experience.
14+ years of software development/QA experience, 4+ years of Leadership experience in Dev/QA testing and automation
Experience setting the technical vision for developing test automation and continuous integration
Experience in creating and implementing test automation strategies, automated testing methodologies, and approaches, tools, techniques (unit, functional, integration), executing automated test suites, and debugging test failures
Experience and conviction around measures to quantify application quality
Experience of functional end-to-end testing including performance, security, functional and regression testing
Strong organizational and influencing skills across teams, ability to engage stakeholders, to understand change readiness, manage differences and create buy-in.
Impeccable operating discipline and the ability to perform as needed to groom the team to a world class level of performance.
Skilled in being a precise leader who pays attention to detail and ensures that projects/requests are delivered on time and with urgency.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including excellent listening and consultative capabilities and writing skills.
