This role requires the candidate to analyze, test and build tools to meet the data quality validation needs for an ETL and ELT processes. A QA mindset in being able to create test cases for verifying the data scenarios that meets business needs is an absolute must.
The candidate must have strong programming and SQL fundamentals. An exposure to handling very large data sets is strongly preferred. A solid critical thinker with strong programming skills and sound grounding in data quality will be successful in this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Handle proper data storage for the organization
Use Informatica software to design and maintain data storage systems
Load and test available data
Analyze data warehousing systems
Resolve and provide solutions to any issues that may arrive
Create proper technical documentation outlining the entire process
Develop data warehousing systems by using Informatica tools
Integrate warehousing systems with an organization or company’s existing systems
Troubleshoot and debug any issues while integrating
Ensure that the requirements for all the processes have been met
Conduct quality checks on the stored data on a regular basis
Provide technical support to delivery teams which may include testing and creation of utilities to support testing
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science
5 – 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance of which at least 3+ years of experience in Informatica TDM tool, test development or combination of development and testing experience
Experience in full implementation of Informatica TDM tool
Experience in creating and maintaining scripts to ensure information systems services and programs meet acceptance criteria
Expert understanding of Informatica components
Expert with ETL tools
Thorough understanding of how operating and database systems work
Ability to implement components into production
Ability to provide postproduction support for the implemented components
Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with data testing and test automation tools using Informatica
