Create, execute, and report on results of automated test cases for assigned projects.
Work in virtual environments.
Use automation to set up your testing environment.
Manage multiple projects and guide/mentor other quality engineers.
Identify process gaps and driving process improvements.

Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Learn about the many products and solutions that NCR offers and provide input on how to integrate and test in a solution-based environment.
Practice and expand your software estimating skills to drive towards on time and on budget deliveries.
Identify, communicate, and manage risks.
Participate in an agile development team, implementing user stories into products that work. Using automated testing to verify acceptance criteria.

Perform other job related duties as assigned
YOU HAVE:
BS (or masters) degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of software engineering work experience
Proficiency and real hands-on experience with scripting. E.g. Python, Perl, JavaScript, VBScript, PowerShell or any other scripting language. Must be able to write scripting code to automate testing and create tools/utilities to automate manual tasks
An understanding of system testing practices, including functional, usability, performance/load, scalability, boundary, hostile, regression and negative testing
Must have experience and ability to understand, configure and troubleshoot large and complex enterprise software on both Windows and/or Linux platforms
Must have experience and ability to setup and troubleshoot virtual and HW labs, including networking, peripheral connectivity, serial port communication, tcpip communication
Ability to learn quickly, independently, and with moderate supervision. You figure out what you need to do and how to do it, then do it.
Able to effectively communicate with customers and convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Expert level knowledge of bug tracking tools and experience using them to document, analyze, and manage defects.
