Primary Responsibilities:
Work as an automation test engineer for Pega Center of Excellence team and own the quality of Pega applications
Execute functional, Automation, Data base and API testing as per Project needs
Develop Automation test scripts using different type of frameworks
Enhance Automation Frameworks as per the design needs
Independently troubleshoot coding issues and solve technical problems from the roots
Setup continuous integration and continuous testing system like Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, and Docker
Deliver software within an Agile (scrum) environment
Assist in sprint planning, estimation, requirement analysis and review
Collaborate with stakeholders to plan test schedules, strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Create, maintain and execute test plans and test cases against our software platforms, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day-to-day QA activities
Document processes and procedures in managing the product and making sure best practices are always followed
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of hands-on experience in developing automation test scripts using Selenium
Working knowledge in Database and API testing
Good knowledge about testing concepts and understanding of database concepts, OOPs concepts and strong in core Java skills
Good understanding on Cucumber, Gherkin
Understanding of DevOps tools like GitHub and Jenkins
Understanding of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Ability to update or enhance automation framework as per the design
Ability to take a hands-on approach to implementing QA processes right from requirements analysis, test design, automation and analysis
Ability to collaborate with other teams across the portfolio to assure the success of the overall program
Preferred Qualification:
Understanding of Pega healthcare or related frameworks
