Primary Responsibilities:
Design/implement core QE capabilities to scale test automation and continuous testing across the enterprise
Design and develop automation strategies and frameworks for delivering best in class enterprise test automation solutions
Provide subject matter expertise to recommend solutions for automation roadblocks, share automation best practices and champion automation innovation
Recommend new tools, techniques and methods for driving quality and productivity within the test automation domain
Engage across engineering on core Information Technology initiatives that require collaboration with the TCOE
Lead Proof of Concepts (POC)s with automation teams for uncovering new approaches, solutions and techniques for enriching the automation solution kit
Engage with QE Community of Practice to create awareness on automation best practices and share results of POCs and new methods for advancing test automation
Influence the adoption of shift left testing practices across the enterprise, Key word/Robot or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) as a standard practice and streamline automation testing within DevOps and Agile SAFe environments
Establish automation tool stack, provide guidance for selection and continue to enhance based on industry trends
Co-ordinate documentation of test automation processes and methods for delivering successful test automation in Testing Standards and Testing Procedures and continue to enhance based on industry trends
Support the Quality Assurance organization in the continued development and implementation of improvements to further the maturity and transition to a Quality Engineering organization
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Minimum of 10+ years of either Technology, Quality Engineering experience with at least 5+ years of experience in integrating test automation into the core development process
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, writing and executing automated test scripts
Minimum 4 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering Lead experience
Minimum 3 years of experience leading/delivering test automation across multiple test automation tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience acting as a strategic Automation Lead for a QA organization
Experience in Quality Engineering processes and practices
Demonstrate experience of driving improvements across complex organizations and processes
Proven experience with partnering, collaborating and influencing across a large multilayered organization at all levels
Solid knowledge of Agile and SAFe practices, SDLC and Jira
Knowledge of various test automation tools, and frameworks to automate on a variety of platforms
Knowledge of continuous testing in DevOps, Cloud and Machine Learning Capabilities of Automation
Strong presentation and communication skills with a demonstrated business presence while interacting with other professional
