Role:
The Quality Lead for our OneShield Market Solutions (OMS) product will lead the development of a customized automation testing framework of the OMS software system. The successful candidate will manage the testing of the OMS solution with a focus on end-user requirements, process-compliance, technology, industry, and OneShield best practices and standards. Because OneShield’s software is “mission critical” for our insurance customers, the Quality Lead will play a highly important and visible role in our success.
Job Responsibilities
Analyze product architecture; define, develop, and drive functional test automation strategy using for the OneShield Market Solutions product suite
Develop/enhance the framework for creating a test automation suite for smoke and regression testing integrated with the release process
Create and prepare end-to-end technical solutions for CI/CD
Develop the strategy to support testing for the OneShield Market Solutions product suite
Conduct Proof of Concept for automation testing feasibility on a project as required
Prepare roadmap for progressive automation and focus on low maintenance
Ensure test cases have full traceability back to business requirements and technical specifications
Develop, maintain, and communicate automated reports and testing metrics to the project stakeholders regularly
Communicate with clients to provide status updates, resolve issues, and build confidence
Write functional specifications and end-user documentation
Work on internal process improvement initiatives and departmental issues
Help build out the Quality Engineering team for the OneShield Market Solutions product, and ultimately manage and mentor that team
Desired Technical Skills
Proven experience in analyzing product architecture and defining functional test automation strategy using appropriate automation tools
Strong in Requirement Analysis, Process Implementations, test preparation, test monitoring and control, root cause analysis, and defect management
Proven experience in both open-source UI & API test automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Cucumber using Java & other scripting languages, with exposure to performance testing
Proven experience in using continuous integration technologies like Bamboo / Jenkins to integrate automated testing (unit, smoke, and regression) with the release process
Proven experience in setting up Test Automation & Instrumentation Labs and related infrastructure for Web and SOA applications
High level of proficiency in understanding/authoring Java, Python, Java-Script and SQL
Experience with JBOSS, WebSphere, Oracle, and Unix-based Virtual Server's logging mechanism
Conversant with methods to ensure code reusability and code maintainability
Solid understanding of relational database concepts and Object Orientated Programming

Education
Bachelors’ or master’s degree in computer science or related field
Any Vendor based or Vendor-neutral Standard/QA/Testing certifications will be a plus
Experience
7+ years of experience in functional testing, automation, and development of automation frameworks, including 2+ years of experience in a lead role
5+ years of experience working with Selenium
