Responsibilities:
Review requirements, user specifications and other project documentation to understand the application and perform ETL Testing and Defect Management.
Proven experience in writing complex SQL queries in at least one of the platforms (Big data HIVE, Oracle, Teradata)
Experience in testing of the ETL tools (Informatica, Data Stage, Ab Initio etc.)
Experience in testing any one of the reporting tools (Microstrategy, Tableau, Cognos etc.)
Knowledge in ETL, Automation tools like Selenium/Cucumber
Design and Execute test scripts to ensure business, technical requirements are met throughout the SDLC
Conducts functional, regression and end-to-end testing on to ensure adequate coverage of requirements.
Strong knowledge of Quality Center to manage test execution, defects and test reporting.
Works as a member of the project team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed.
Develop testing strategies that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
Strong experience in Agile methodology & exposure to tools like JIRA, Rally, Version One etc
Provide Status Reports, Daily, Weekly and Monthly to Offshore and Onshore Stakeholders

B.E./ B Tech / M.E./M Tech
M.C.A [with B.Sc., B Com, BBM]
M.Sc. (Computer Science, IT, S/W, Mathematics, Electronics, Physics, Statistics)
Certifications If Any
Any certification related to Agile, Functional testing
Experience Range
6 + years of experience in Software Testing.
Foundational skills
6 + years of hands-on experience ETL, Functional Testing and Web Services Testing
Experience in testing any one of the ETL tools (Informatica, Data Stage, Ab Initio etc.)
Experience in testing any one of the reporting tools (Microstrategy, Tableau, Cognos etc.)
Knowledge in ETL, Automation tools like Selenium/Cucumber

Desired skills
Strong knowledge in SQL (Oracle, TOAD- Preferred), back-end testing on Database or DW.
Strong experience in Behavior Driven Testing with Cucumber, Jenkins, Maven.
Experience in executing automated tests in CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery) environment.
Experience in Automated tools for generation of test data.
Knowledge of data flows, data architecture, ETL and processing of unstructured data
ETL Testing approach, and test definition / execution
Knowledge of normalized and dimensional data models and other data integration techniques such as database replication, change data capture (CDC) etc.
Experience of Informatica Power Center 9.5 onwards, Hadoop, Scala, Scoop, Hive
Experience in Java and Cucumber frameworks(RAFT)
Knowledge of Unix commands, VB scripting
Experience with Agile Test methodologies.
Knowledge of Jira and Horizon tools
Strong analytical skills
