Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Work as part of the scrum team in collaboration with Product owners, BAs, Developers, Architects and other involved teams
Collaborate with the team where ever needed and making sure that failures are identified as early as possible ensuring that quality products are delivered to our users
Create test scenarios from requirements and acceptance criteria
Design and Develop effective automation framework as needed
Understand application architecture
Understand application logic
Implement automation for all the test scenarios(functional, non-functional) and any other that can facilitate effective testing
Achieve high level of automation coverage for all the products(Web, Services) that are delivered by the team
Dockerise test solutions
Set-up CI/CD pipelines and run all the tests (unit, functional, integration, security, e2e ui, web performance, Api load)
Take immediate actions on pipeline failures
Set-up builds in Teamcity to build the automation solution
Set-up builds in Teamcity to run the automated tests for different environments based on the requirement
Report the automation test results using latest available tools integrated with Teamcity
Execute the tests and communicate the results with root cause analysis with the team
Continuous maintenance of the automation framework
Root cause analysis when finding application defects and debugging
Raise defects with all the relevant information and report to the team
Understand Deployment framework and root cause analysis when issues occur
Release management
Understand Infrastructure setup of the product (pre-live and live)
Take responsibility and ownership of all testing deliveries from the team
Be the centre of excellence and maintain best practices across the department liaising with the team and the managers
Be optimistic to find areas of improvement and opportunities for innovation
Essential Skills Required:
Exp Range: 5+ Years
Quick learner
Sound experience working with Javascript/TypeScript and C#
Efficient testing approaches with effective attention to detail
Good experience working with web application and web services
Good understanding of Micro Front End and Micro services
Good testing approaches to test Micro Front End and Micro services
Experience in automation of Web applications/Web Services and creating automation framework from scratch
Sound experience in Web, MFE and Service automation using Javascript based automation libraries and Rest sharp library for services
Experience working in Team city to create builds
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience using defects management tool (e.g. JIRA)
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Good team player and work on minimal supervision
A real interest for software development and high-quality code
Desired Skills:
Automation for Web Performance/API Load testing
Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker for deployment
Understanding of Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams
Understanding of Mongo DB, writing queries
