S&P Global is seeking experienced Sr. Test Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-value, high-impact solutions to the world’s most demanding, high-profile clients. This position is a hands-on test build /execution role. It is a highly technical position and will require strong knowledge of automation. We are looking for individuals that can lead, provide thought leadership, work in an agile manner and are passionate about technology. Your main responsibilities will be translating software requirements into test cases, exploratory testing, and designing, analyzing, and executing automated tests for web, excel, and mobile based software solutions.
What you’ll work on
• As a senior member of the core engineering team you should be able to define the strategy of automation testing.
• Translating software requirements/stories into accurate and complete test scenarios, including identifying the detailed test data needs, with a commitment to deliver high quality releases
• Conducting integration, stress, performance, scalability, and/or load testing
• Collaborating with end-user, technology and operational functions of the business as part of a globally integrated delivery team
• Conducting test-leveling exercises to determine the best test layer to secure code quality
• Removing roadblocks, escalating risks and working in a fast paced and highly-interactive environment
• Being a member of the Scrum team, you will not only contribute to the technical architecture and implementation, but also to the team efficiency initiatives and culture.
What we look for
• 7+ years of software development and testing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, QA, or IT preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience executing and analyzing automated testing and frameworks
• Hands on experience in programming in either C#/.Net a plus
• Hands on experience on API testing
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and exposure on cloud
• Must be Proficient in Selenium / webdriver.io / API Automation / Postman or equivalent
• Proven experience in testing databases (SQL Server preferred) & writing complex SQL statements
• Experience working in CI/CD environments using tools like ADO, TeamCity, GitLab or Equivalent
• Must have strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Must have experience in implementing automation solutions within an Agile development lifecycle.
• Knowledge and experience of financial markets
• Demonstrated ability to work in a globally distributed software development team.
• Experience in automated cross browser testing a plus
• Experience with Integration, stress, performance, scalability, and/or load testing a plus.
