We are seeking an experienced API Senior Automation Tester to join our software development team. The API Senior Automation Tester will be responsible for designing and executing automated tests for our RESTful API endpoints, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement automated test scripts for API testing, including functional, performance, and security testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA analysts, and project managers, to define API testing requirements and design automation frameworks.
Identify, document, and report defects found during API testing, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improving API performance, scalability, and security.
Maintain and enhance the API test automation framework, ensuring it is up-to-date and able to meet current and future testing needs.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in API testing and automation, and recommend changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide regular reports on API testing progress, including test coverage, test results, and defect trends.
Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts to ensure they adhere to coding and quality standards.
