Key responsibilities:
Plan, Design, Develop and execute manual and automated tests across new and existing software
Design and Develop test automation frameworks to enable fast and low maintenance automation
Take ownership for developing and executing automated tests across the various projects and programs to enable a higher quality deliverable
Assist with triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues discovered
Where necessary, develop and execute manual test cases to detect issues that cannot be detected through automated means
Must be able to multi-task, handling numerous competing priorities
Work with business partners to understand their needs and proactively lead them to solutions.
Ensure that software functionality is implemented according to the product stakeholder needs
Recommend improvements to existing software programs, especially for unit tests
Log and track system flaws using the JIRA issue tracking system
Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams
Work with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure
Provide technical leadership to testing and project team members and enable a highly collaborative team
Works independently on complex projects
Maintain effective communication with clients, business and partners as needed
What you will need to succeed:
B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required
6+ years of software quality assurance experience
Experience with multiple development platforms and knowledge of J2EE, API (Rest, SOAP, Message-Driven), and Micro Services
Expertise in testing practices and techniques for Functional, End to End, Integration, and Regression Testing
Experience of automation frameworks and techniques for Web/mWeb, Mobile, APIs and Databases
Hands on experience with one or more test automation tools
Works independently under minimal direction with strong work ethics
Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges, with a can-do attitude
Should have hands-on software test development experience, including both functional and non-functional test development as an individual contributor
Background in working with product stakeholders to organize, develop and execute User Acceptance Tests
Technical areas of expertise:
Test automation experience on integrated systems including Web, API and Backend components using Selenium based frameworks – Must to have
In-depth functional knowledge on entire Payments life cycle with strong experience required in REST API, JSON, XML – Must to have
Strong knowledge of automation framework like Karate, Postman, SOAP UI, BDD Cucumber – Must to have
Experience with API Testing and Database testing including Relational and Non-Relational Databases
Hands on experience working across the entire technology stack including Web, Application, Network, Services and Database layers
Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
Knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches
Strong desire for establishing and improving product quality
Familiar with deployment strategies, including creation and oversight of multiple QA environments
Experience with selecting/creating appropriate test data, and practiced at Structured Query Language (SQL) to validate system’s correct data handling
Ability to utilize issue tracking analysis to identify focus areas of improvement based on quality assurance findings
